Listen · Explore · Mix

One passage, three ways to participate. Follow the recorded shadow around six speakers, compare listening positions, then perform with keyboard or touch. Choose a sound timeline or the full score. This version incorrectly holds the accents; use Preview 04 for corrected sound and timing.

A first walkthrough

  1. Listen. Open Preview 06, put on headphones, and press Play. Watch grey circles follow speaker volume and amber accents pulse above the surrounding sound. The recorded shadow plays; the clarinetist is silent in this excerpt.
  2. Explore. Switch listening positions while the same passage continues. Try the audience, clarinetist, and audio engineer positions, or open the 3D room. Whole room shows all six speakers; tap the floor to move, drag to rotate the view, and try Eye level. Reset returns you to the starting position; Back restores the main interface.
  3. Mix. Hold keys 1–6 or touch the pads to bring speakers forward. With no boosts selected, all six speakers play the background. Latch keeps a boost on after release; Release all restores the background. The visual guide does not control your mix. Switch between Sound timeline and Musical score without changing your mix.
  4. Compare. Return to Listen at the same moment to hear the example. Preview 02 still contains the four earlier scenes, including piano resonance.

Preview scope: Preview 06 covers Transition I–II only. Twelve inherited accent/release pairs are restored; the final accent releases at 56.929 seconds and the background continues to the end. Exact recording-to-score alignment still needs verification. Score scrolling is manual. Recording and score credits, permissions, listening checks, and testing on other browsers/devices remain release work. Composer is deferred.
